Speaking at the national assembly, Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal raised concern about increasing use of offensive language at parliament, judiciary and in social media that are neither gender responsive nor accepted socially and culturally. Giving examples of discussion held at supreme court about the President and statement of a political leader comparing the President with the King in public forums, she reminded the leaders to be careful while using words and languages and not to talk in a way that weakens the institutions we have established for democracy.
